Medovik (Russian: медови́к [mʲɪdɐˈvʲik]; from мед, 'honey', Ukrainian: медовик [medovyk]) is a layer cake popular in countries of the former Soviet Union. The identifying ingredients are honey and smetana (sour cream) or condensed milk. It has become pretty popular in Latvia.
